End of Season Festivities a Success!

Ladies & Gentlemen,

Every year the BRFC forms a Barbarians team, made of old and current players, and plays the BSP Old Boys team for the DEREK LEWIS CUP. It is always a tough and fast game, with BSP winning the last two games. BRFC finally triumphed 25-10 in a good fun game played under a blazing sun. Our many thanks to all present and all organizers, in particular Brendan McCann for making it happen, and to the people who spent great efforts getting together a great post-game reception (Ollie, Brendan, Derek, Constance, etc.). Some pictures of the game and the reception are available here: http://www.brfcparis.com/?page_id=174&album=1&gallery=73

As you may be aware, we also used this occasion to hand out the first ever BRFC HALL OF FAME AWARDS, 6 members out of 8 inductees of our 2012 Promotion being present to receive their trophies: Guy Grundy, Eudes Le Gars, John Lloyd, Quentin Martin, Darren Simpson & Richard Urquhart. Thomas Beynon & Julian Croome will receive their trophies at Christmas Ball next December. We again extend “Hall of Famers” our congratulations and thank them for their dedication to the Club, hoping their example will be followed by many. Their biographies and a special page dedicated to the Hall of Fame will shortly be posted on our web site. Some pictures of the awards ceremony are available here: http://www.brfcparis.com/?page_id=174&album=1&gallery=74

If the day was a success, what can we say about the NIGHT, probably one of the best Paris has seen so far?… Our friend Geoffrey Auzou performed magic and let us use his absolutely incredible rooftop garden terrace for a great barbecue, while The Revies rocked the evening as the sun declined over stunning views of the Eiffel Tower or the Sacre Coeur. Many many thanks to all those involved in the organisation of the party (Ollie, James, Dougal to name a few) and to the band (Etienne, Selim, Tom). Some pictures of the party are available here: http://www.brfcparis.com/?page_id=174&album=1&gallery=75

Yesterday, today and tomorrow: Come on British!

Nico, Chairman of BRFC Paris
