| After watching France's victory in the 'Stade de France' and a big night of celebrations at the Cricketer, the BRFC began the game with several missed tackles that can only go into the educational rugby books as "how not to tackle". I can certainly be the teacher for this session as "Mr Tackle Shadows" or as Daz said "Mr tackling like an Irishman" in memory of the Irish national team. Thales then scored 2 easy tries as the BRFC continued to look lost on the pitch, maybe due to the fact that there were about 10 new
players that have never played together on the pitch... After 20 minutes the BRFC finally woke up and were back in the game with the help of the new and young legs and the enormous kicking skills of 'Barks' and the energy of 'Bez' (even if sometimes he has too much). The "young guns" scored tries and showed the way we had to play...... Like Bez who even with no jersey scored a try like a bull!
But again due to another great tackle on a shadow in the heart of the BRFC defense from myself, Thales score another try, leaving BRFC one try down....The last 15 minutes were British; the will to win helped us
get back into the game and James scored the last try after a good move in the
backs (I could say I passed him the ball .... so I will , I did do one
thing right in the game!!!). "Mr 100%" (Barks) converted it and the game ended with a very toit victory 26 to 24...
