Info on Training & the Amsterdam Sevens
Morning Lads,
Hope you are all well.
Play Offs: PUC and CSPTT are both out of the running. But Antony sport had a big win at the weekend and may pip us to the post. Essentially we will finish either 6th or 7th - which means Centrale or France Pub will be our opposition come the Quarter finals. Both will be incredibly hard games so we need to start preparing.
This means training tomorrow at Sevres and Domont on Thursday is currently on, so please confirm, or regret, you attendance for:
Tuesday - Stade de la Fosse Renault, route de la mare aux Canards, SEVRES
Meeting point: Pont de Sevres (Metro line 9) at 8.00PM (Go to street level - meet in central reservation for buses)
Training Starts at 8.30pm.
Thursday - Stade des Fauvettes, rue de Paris, in DOMONT (outskirts of Paris)
Meeting Point: Gare du Nord at 7:30pm (Go to street level - meet in front of turnstiles in the station that lead to 'Train de banlieue' - Surface Train) Take 7.37pm Train to Domont - train line 'H' (or next one, but try to make it on time)
10 min walk from the station to the ground
Training starts 8.30pm
As before if you do not make training for a good reason you will not be considered for the knock out stages: this may seem unfair to some but there are a core group of guys who do make the effort and it's only fitting they are given the chance, priority will be given to those guys who train regular.

*A message from Fred*
Hi Lads,
It's coming up to the time that I am going to have to pay for the Amsterdam Sevens and put together the teamsheet, so would like to confirm numbers as soon as possible. We have a 15 man squad to fill, and no limit of spectator spots. Entrance fee is 28 EUR pp.
Spectator tickets cost 10 Euros for the weekend if bought in advance, and are available either through the website or from me.
My email is: aeyafce@nottingham.ac.uk and I will only accept emails as confirmation, no texts or facebooks or given word. Even those down on my provisional list please confirm to me. Please indicate whether you want to play or spectate, or if you're easy going either way. With only 15 spots will go fast!
As far as transport and accom. Are concerned, I'm pretty much going to leave it up to you lads to sort out. Reasons being that people can travel on different days, and have different ideas on accommodation. The main plan, however, is to travel up on Friday night (Saturday is an early start) and come back either Sunday night or Monday morning, depending on your work commitments. I personally will be camping, as it is cheapest by far at 7.50 EUR per night and supposedly 15 minutes walk to the Centraal Station. Here is the website:
However I'm sure some of you will want to stay in a hotel or hostel, especially the older lads! If you want to camp, indicate in the email and I will sort out a group booking.
As for transport, the best way is the Thalys from Paris, and there are all sorts of deals going on at the moment. Have a look, as single bookings can be found for 30 EUR, much cheaper than even booking a group ticket.
Cheers lads, have a good couple of weeks, see you back on the 6th ish...
BOOM
Fred "Fonzerellie" Engelbach
cheers
Graeme
